" It's Just A Thought ... "

“ ... It's just a thought
But I've noticed somethin' strange,
Gettin' harder to explain;
All the years are passin' bye and bye,
Still I don't know what makes it go;
Who said to wait and you'll see?

It's just a thought
But the word has come too late
That a bad idea will take
Just about a lifetime to explain,
And don't you see,
Good one's gonna be much longer;
Who's gonna wait, just to see? ... “

Those moments when you move past the body, past the surface and you face the mirror of your own faults, your own limitations, your own darkness.  Your responsibilities, your choices ... everything in your life is all down to you.

How do we learn to deal with this revelation and how do we move through it.  We keep going, acknowledge it and own up.  And we tend to measure our strength by it.  Yet our minds will create doubts and escape thoughts when the mirror is reflected back.  Unless we shift from thinking to awareness.

Thinking is thought intensive while awareness is presence or simple attention in the moment.  Thinking is when our mind creates thoughts about the situation we are in.  Awareness is when our attention is focused on the situation simply observing with our senses.  We are aware thought what we see, hear, feel, smell and taste.  Thinking separates us from the immediacy of the situation as awareness gives us direct perception of the situation ... allowing us to perceive it more accurately.

... thought does not have an existence that is independent of awareness ...

And so do we attempt to deny thinking?  Not possible.  Denying any form of thought is denying awareness itself.  To deny thought is to make an assumption that is not based on reality.  Awareness is empty and not a form or a thing.  IT has no qualities, no beginning and no end.  It is neither good or bad, right or wrong, here or there.  It is non dual.

... Your entire story, your body, and everything else that happens to "you" are merely objects appearing and disappearing in timeless, non conceptual awareness.
The objects themselves are empty ...

Awareness is awake right now, always, ready and present.  It is prior to anything you think about yourself.  The thought based, time bound story of you is fiction.  It is peaceful and still.  it is presence awareness.

And so if we take a moment to suspend thought in order to directly recognize awareness, we reveal who we are.  In that moment, we allow ourselves to fully arise ... and observe ... non conceptual awareness.

Through non conceptual awareness, we view the final seeing, pointing away from attachment to the intellect, form, thought. We realize that thoughts are not separate from awareness.  The distinction itself is a creation of thought.

" Don't You Worry Child … "

“There was a time
I used to look into my father's eyes.
In a happy home

I was a king, I had a golden throne ...

Now the memory's on the wall.
I hear the songs
From the places where I was born ...

My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."
Yeah!”

On my daily quest for eternal sunshine, I remind myself that life has ups and downs, we face the good and the bad, we witness the ugly and the beautiful ... day in and day out ... yet the only day, today, is the one to be concerned with.
Today ... any person can battle just one day, any person.  It is when we add the burdens of those two other days that we can break down.  Those two other days ... yesterday & tomorrow.

remorse or bitterness of something which happened yesterday ...
dread of what tomorrow may bring ...

Do you reflect on yesterday(s) and see it’s mistakes, cares, faults, blunders, aches and pains
or do you see lessons, gifts and blessings?

We cannot undo a single act we performed.
We cannot erase a single word we said.

Does tomorrow bring burdens, lack of and poor prognosis
or do you see opportunities & possibilities?

You can only live one day at a time

Life is unpredictable not to enjoy each and every moment.  Realizing that our time is limited makes every moment even more important.  Yet knowing the importance of living in the moment and taking action is another.

My spiritual practices has shown me that thoughts are not necessarily reality.  That when my mind is bogged down with concerns, worries, what-if thoughts and imagined scenarios ... I need to intervene, take control and not believe the potentially terrible outcomes my mind has presented ... why?  because I am still here in the most important moment, now.

Staying in the present requires recognizing the difference between what-ifs and what is.

The more we dwell on, the more it multiplies.  No day is going to be perfect but we can choose to focus more on the happy moments than on the painful ones.

“If you worry about what might be, and wonder what might have been, you will ignore what is.”

" Creation ... "

My friend, my brother, my foe, my ego
My mother, my father, my bride, my pride
New life I can see it in your eyes
Improvise, watch your spirit rise
(Please god) Watch the spirit rise ...

A real summer breeze that's gonna be
When they don't exist and neither do we
I'm talking 'bout creation
I'm talking 'bout relation
I'm talking 'bout creation
We need a combination ...

Are you the co-creator of your future?  Recently I was asked this question and it stirred up a lot of “stuff” for me.  It was in the context of fear of the unknown ... the idea is that if we are actively involved in what we want, then excitement replaces anxiety.

So where do you start?  By discovering who you are.  Gaining a clear perspective ... you need to know where you are now so you can know where you want to go.  Sometimes it is hard to really know who you are, your core values, your beliefs, your desires, you motivations, etc.  Personally, the answers come when I become still and listen.

When you feel like you have located yourself in your narrative life, visualize plausible personal futures.  Think about the various domains of life that impact your future pathways and quality of life, ranging from health, relationships, finances, creativity, learning, and what you do for fun.  Consider how you engage in these domains and to what degree you imagine integrating them into your future.

Next use the law of attraction ... feel it, own it and be it.  Become a magnet for manifesting.  Another way of looking at it is to show up for your own story because you are the only one living it.  Ask yourself what do you want your life to look like in one year or five years?  how are you building your capacities?  what milestones are you working on?  how are you staying engage across life domains?

And like anything to achieve your goals, you need to develop strategies and processes ... by setting short-term, measurable, achievable goals.  Make sure you are flexible to changes in priorities and vision.

This is the time, the moment to create and manifest all dreams and visions for yourself.  The frequencies of Divine are accessible as you hold the heart vision of your highest possible self.  We are always living the present based on future projections, unconsciously asleep to the the power of co-creating.  Yet, we can choose to step into conscious self-mastery and utilize our higher heart consciousness.  We can choose to release our ego’s control and align with our higher self ... we can choose to see the big picture and focus on the joy and hope ... opening ourselves up to receive the endless possibilities.
