A choice was made, then a realization that a different choice would have been preferrable... then a reluctance to alter course due to self criticism. So regret is like a form of self punishment. However, regret is higher up on the emotional healing scale than shame. I find it interesting when processing choices turns to SHAME instead of regret, because it will often THEN turn into blame! It's quite the rodeo when it turns into blame. In this situation Meena... smells like someone doesn't want to own their feelings. I feel this: Be a friend or don't be a friend. We are all free to make adult choices. But for goodness sake, get behind your decision rather than projecting it onto someone else! LOL! Just saying.
